The Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden is a grand classic European hotel that combines Baroque style with contemporary elegance. Built in the 18th century and faithfully reconstructed in 1995, it is located opposite iconic monuments such as the Semper Opera House and the Zwinger.

The main lobby features a striking light sculpture approximately 30 meters long—an undulating structure made up of suspended glass elements—designed by Kardorff. This piece is reminiscent of the winding course of the Elbe River, connects the different areas of the entrance space, and is the lobby's signature feature.

The interior design, by Markus Hilzinger, blends tradition and modernity in the 213 completely renovated rooms and suites. The typology and materials of the lighting fixtures are harmoniously integrated into the three different design lines, providing comfort, sophistication, and a consistent visual experience throughout the hotel.

In Dresden, VW constructs its vehicles in a completely different way: in a production site made of glass visible to all. The light behind the transparent facades puts the production process on stage. Reflectors shine warm-toned, glare-free light
directly on the high-quality industrial workplaces with studio character and, at the same time, avoid any exterior light emission to protect the adjacent nature park. The light follows the route of the vehicles until handover to the customers. Stage lighting for performances and cultural events complements this
extraordinary presentation of the automobile.
