      Project

The Barcelona-based architecture firm Barozzi Veiga led the renovation of the Eloise W. Martin Galleries at the Art Institute of Chicago. The galleries display over 300 objects from the museum's outstanding collection, including furniture, silver, ceramics, and glass from the period 1600 to 1900. Custom-made display cases complete the newly designed space. The arrangement of track lighting in the suspended ceiling ensures maximum flexibility in the central area, while an integrated lighting system was designed for the wall display cases and the ceramics room.
